A sneak peek at my July Wrap Up! This isn’t including a few books I can’t talk about and Kindle books. I’ve really enjoyed re-reading the Harry Potter books especially this month! http://ift.tt/1DRk6y8

The best thing about this post is going to the reblogs and reading the tags and adding new books that I need to read
If I’m not reading a book then I’m taking photos of books and if I’m not taking photos of books I’m looking at photos of books and if I’m not looking at photos of books I’m thinking about books and if I’m not thinking about books then I’m dreaming about book and if I’m not dreaming about books I’m writing books and basically books because books, always.

Day 1 - Reading Goal for the New Year and Goal
My reading goal for 2015 was to read 50 books and I completed it by reading 75 books. My new goal for 2016 is to read at least 50 books and with continuing college this semester, i think that this is a realistic goal. What are your reading goals in the new year?

The many stages of reading slumps
Step 1: ‘I can’t be in another reading slump! I will tackle my TBR and emerge victorious. You’re not going to hold me back, brain.’
Step 2: *reads 50 pages of about 750 books* ‘NOOOOO!’
Step 3: *mumbles about reading slump*
*posts on blog about reading slump*
*tells family and friends about reading slump*
Step 4: ‘So the hundreds of books I own already aren’t working for me so I should definitely go to the bookstore and/or library to get more’
Step 5: ‘I know, I’ll re-read Harry Potter!’
Step 6: *puts on sad song and stares at books longingly* ‘I miss you…’
Step 7: *after what feels like centuries, reads 50 books in a week to make up for lost time*
Step 8: Repeat
Books are no more threatened by Kindle, than stairs by elevators.
Reminders for readers:
- It doesn’t matter how many books you read.
- It doesn’t matter how many books others read.
- Don’t worry too much about your reading goal.
- Don’t judge others on their preferences.
- Nobody likes book snobs.
- Don’t worry about how many books you own.
- Don’t force yourself to read books.
- You can put a book down if you aren’t enjoying it.
- Life’s too short to read books you don’t like.
- You are allowed to reread books as many times as you want.
- Ebooks are books and they’re great.
- Audio books are books and they’re great.
- Physical books are great too.
- You are still valid. You are still a reader. It literally doesn’t matter how or what you read.
- Don’t worry about what everyone else is reading.
- Don’t worry about other opinions.
- Read what you want.
2015 / 50 Book Challenge
It’s time to pick a reading goal for 2015!
The Rules
1. Choose an amount of books that you want to read in 2015 (e.g. 25, 50, 75, 100)
2. Read, read, read!
The Books
You decide which books ‘count’. Read anything you want (novels, children’s books, re-reads, short stories, non-fiction, graphic novels, school books). You can make a list of the books you want to read before you start or you can choose books as you go along.
The Challenge
To keep track of what you’re reading, you can use the Goodreads Reading Challenge (they will launch a new one in early January). If you love lists, create one on Tumblr, WordPress, Blogger, BookLikes, or on your computer or phone. You could tweet every book you’re reading using #50BookChallenge, write or film book reviews, create a Pinterest board or post photos of your books on Tumblr and Instagram. I like to create a 50 Book Challenge page, tag my book reviews and use Goodreads. Use the 50 Book Challenge tag on Tumblr so that others can keep up with your progress. You can use the above banner on your page or create your own!
But remember, it’s important that you’re reading and that you’re having fun doing it, so participate to discover other book lovers and to motivate yourself when you’d rather be watching Netflix (which is okay too, by the way). My tip? Always carry a book with you.
Guilty…I’ve done it with my phone when reading using the kindle app. That hurt worse.
